About Impala Ray
Impala Ray is the fresh and exciting project of Ray Gärtner. The band combines West Coast pop and authentic folk, which flows into an energetic cocktail of sound. Impala Ray already showed Germany how to bring the party to the audience and the group is famous for it's wild live shows.
For the new single "SPLASH MATHARE“, the first song from the new album planned for 2019, Impala Ray returns to the „Mathare“ slum of Kenia and develops IMPALA RAY’s sound at the same time. „With this song I take the listeners with me to Africa. You can hear jungle sounds, jingling bottles and people I recorded myself. The song is about the freedom to do what you want. Whether you simply want to jump into the sea or cycle from Paris to Tibet – people all over the world have the same dreams. Musically, it’s about beat and melody; electronic sounds overlap with acoustic Impala instruments“.
